Birmingham Moseley, and in particular the Colts section, are this week mourning the loss of John Kemp, who tragically passed away during the Colts fixture against Bromsgrove on Sunday. John was a universally popular and valued member of the Colts’ parents group and more recently, assisting the coaching team through mentoring and off-field admin, and will be greatly missed by us all. John is survived by wife Rachel and sons Alex, George and Jack. Our thoughts and unwavering support are with the Kemp family at this hugely challenging time.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to staff, players, parents and volunteers at Bromsgrove Rugby Club, who provided excellent support and were a credit to the rugby family throughout the events of Sunday at a time where team colours and rivalry were irrelevant – we are truly grateful.
Finally, our sincere thanks to those who provided speedy medical attention to John, whether from Bromsgrove, Moseley or the first responder professionals. Your response was first class and will always be greatly appreciated.
A book of remembrance will be available online in due course and also a physical copy on the bar at Birmingham Moseley Rugby Club for those who wish to express their condolences.
RIP John
