Moseley Rugby Community Foundation Objectives

The objectives of the organisation are for the benefit of the inhabitants of Birmingham and the surrounding area, in particular but not exclusively by:

  • Developing their capacity and skills in such a way that they are better able to identify and help meet their needs and to participate more fully in society
  • Providing or assisting in the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals, with the object of improving their conditions of life.
  • Preserving and protecting their health by encouraging participation in healthy recreation and providing facilities for the playing of rugby and other sports.
  • Advancing their education and offering training opportunities in employability.

MRCF Golf Day, ‘Foundation Takeover’ plus an annual event involving all club sections to raise much-needed funds.

rugby sessions & training

Rugby sessions focusing on developing skills whilst teaching the values of rugby

rugby readers

Literacy programme to enhance vocabulary, comprehension and confidence, plus a rugby session to develop teamwork & skills

school leagues and festivals

Organising three T1 (touch rugby) leagues for primary and secondary pupils from 20+ local schools, plus multiple annual school rugby festivals.

scrum sums

Numeracy programme including rugby themed maths activities plus a rugby session to develop teamwork & skills.

sports camps

Multi sports camps and rugby masterclasses providing activities for children during the school holidays.

walking rugby

Weekly Thursday night session for over 50s taking part in training and fixtures against other clubs.
