Birmingham Moseley and Gloucester Rugby Forge a Strategic Partnership

Birmingham Moseley and Gloucester Rugby Club Forge a Strategic Partnership to Develop Future Rugby Talent

Birmingham Moseley Rugby is pleased to announce an exciting new partnership with Gloucester Rugby, aimed at nurturing and developing the next generation of rugby talent. This collaboration will see Gloucester Rugby utilise Birmingham Moseley’s outstanding facilities as part of a comprehensive player pathway process, designed to produce skilled juniors who will eventually feed into Premiership-level rugby.

Since the loss of Worcester Warriors’ and Wasps Academies, Gloucester Rugby Academy has been allocated an expanded geographical area. Following conversations between Birmingham Moseley’s Director of Rugby, Adam Balding and Wayne Thompson, Gloucester’s Head of Academy, Birmingham Moseley Rugby have been selected as a site to host the Foundation Phase of their Player Development Pathway program.

The goal of this initiative is to build a robust and sustainable pipeline of talent that will strengthen both clubs, while also offering promising young players the opportunity to reach their full potential in a professional rugby environment.

This partnership marks a significant step forward in the development of rugby talent within the region and underscores both clubs’ dedication to excellence and innovation in the sport.

Adam Balding, Birmingham Moseley Director of Rugby said “Working in partnership with Gloucester Rugby club is extremely exciting whilst being able to help develop and nurture the future players of tomorrow as this opportunity gives us chance to build something special through Birmingham Moseley whilst supporting rugby as a whole within the North Midlands”
